Project Invitation | (China) Leading Biopharmaceutical Enterprise Executive Innovation Exchange Seminar Project

In order to accelerate the transformation of China from a biotech powerhouse to a biotech powerhouse, effectively serve the internationalization of China's biopharmaceutical enterprises, assist in cultivating high-end talents in the field of management, and deeply cooperate with the 2019 US Biotechnology Conference and Exhibition, the Training Department of the China International Chamber of Commerce plans to cooperate with the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, On May 30-31, 2019, a leading biopharmaceutical enterprise executive innovation exchange seminar project was held at the headquarters of Wharton Business School in Philadelphia, USA.


From a global perspective, the biopharmaceutical industry is becoming a high growth industry that has attracted world attention after the information industry. The United States has 50% of the world's biopharmaceutical companies and biotechnology patents, making it a gathering place for top biopharmaceutical talents. The United States has always held a absolute advantage in terms of research level, industrial scale and number of talents. In recent years, the development momentum of China's biopharmaceutical industry has been strong, and investment and trade in the biopharmaceutical field have shown a rapid growth trend. The biopharmaceutical industry has become a new economic growth point, and there is an urgent need for multi-level international exchanges with experts in the biopharmaceutical field led by the United States in terms of strategy, funding, projects, and talent, to help China transform from a biotechnology powerhouse to a biotechnology powerhouse.


To fully leverage the advantageous resources of the biopharmaceutical industry in China and the United States, provide a high-end customized talent exchange platform for internationalization, specialization, and the entire industry chain in the biopharmaceutical field, and cultivate corporate executives with a global perspective and international competitiveness, this project will be held at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, ranked first in the world. The college is located in a biopharmaceutical industry cluster in the United States, with highly concentrated medical and clinical resources. Relying on research institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania Medical Innovation and Medicine Center and the Institute of Pharmaceutical Engineering, it has strong academic and industrial strength. In recent years, Wharton Business School has held several related projects for leading Chinese pharmaceutical companies, which have received high recognition from corporate executives. The project will invite senior professors in the biopharmaceutical field from Wharton School of Business and leading domestic biopharmaceutical enterprises to focus on key aspects such as incubators, talent cultivation, and technological innovation required for the development of the biopharmaceutical industry. The project will deeply focus on and explore important topics such as drug research and development trends, innovative investment directions, and financing platforms in the biopharmaceutical industry, helping executives understand cutting-edge development trends in the industry and expand cooperation projects, Enhance the international business capabilities of China's biopharmaceutical industry.

      




      According to the work plan determined with Wharton Business School, this event, as one of the services for member enterprises of the China International Chamber of Commerce, will not be charged a service fee. The project will last for two days, with a tentative cost of $4300 per person, including customization fees, course fees, management fees, and translation fees (fees will be adjusted based on the final number of applicants). The international travel, transportation, and accommodation expenses of corporate executives shall be borne by themselves. Wharton Business School will issue invitation letters to corporate executives to visit the United States. After the project is completed, Wharton Business School will issue a certificate of completion.


     We invite executives from the biopharmaceutical industry to participate in this project. Due to the complicated procedures involved in hosting a series of projects in the United States, please complete the payment work before April 11th. We will determine the final project schedule and related arrangements based on the final list.
