Xinhua News Agency, Addis Ababa, June 19 (Reporter Wang Shoubao) The "China (Shenzhen) - Ethiopia Trade and Investment Promotion Conference and Shenzhen Boutique Exhibition Conference" hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Shenzhen Municipal People's Government was held in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, on June 19. A total of 70 Shenzhen enterprises came to Ethiopia with the most advanced products to seek trade and investment opportunities.

This batch of Shenzhen enterprises showcased a total of 2000 products, covering fields such as the electronics industry, intelligent equipment and wearable devices, new energy, biomedicine, jewelry and watches, clothing and manufacturing. The exhibition attracted over a hundred business representatives from East African countries such as Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Mozambique to come to the site and have face-to-face communication with Shenzhen companies participating in the exhibition.

Chen Biao, Vice Mayor of Shenzhen, said at the opening ceremony of the exhibition that Ethiopia is one of the most influential countries in Africa, with rapid economic development and huge development potential, and is an important foothold for China to promote the "the Belt and Road" construction. As a window for China's reform and opening up, Shenzhen will actively seek international exchanges and cooperation, including Ethiopia, to further build trade and investment platforms, deepen cooperation in energy, transportation, communication, tourism, manufacturing and other fields, and work together for common development.

Fizum Arega, the head of the Ethiopian Investment Commission, made a presentation on the investment environment and industrial conditions on site. He stated that Ethiopia has well-established business policies and hardware facilities, superior geographical location, and outstanding comprehensive strength among African countries. It also has good protection and incentive measures for investors, which has attracted many Chinese companies to come and dig gold.

Mao Xiaofeng, Market Director of Shenzhen Zhiteng Yongsheng Technology Co., Ltd., believes that in recent years, Ethiopia's economy has developed rapidly and its market potential is enormous. It will be an important consumer country for electronic products and a potential market that domestic technology enterprises cannot miss.

In recent years, Ethiopia has been one of the countries with rapid economic growth in Africa. At present, a group of Shenzhen enterprises have invested in Ethiopia and actively carried out economic and trade exchanges, involving energy, transportation, communication, manufacturing and other fields.
